The Bindi Bowl is the pinnacle of NRL Fantasy Football Leagues, where strategy, passion, and rugby league knowledge collide! This is not just another fantasy league – it’s a competitive, high-energy battle for fantasy supremacy, where the best, and worst, rugby league minds come together to build, manage, and dominate their teams week in and week out.

The Bindi Bowl is in its 13th edition and over the years has seen 18 individuals compete for the coveted trophy and ultimate bragging rights. So far eight have taken out the premiership. With many more seasons to come who will be next?

Year: 2025

Location: Woollamia

With Dave taking out the league the previous season he also won hosting rights for Season 13 in a secret bet with Cliffy. This saw the league hit the waves and draft while mobile, although the draft was postponed until we were stationary.

A novel lowest-unique bid reverse auction system + popularity contest was used to establish draft order.

The league sees the inclusion of the Cup for the bottom teams to add a bit of whimsy to the league

Location: Denhams Beach

Venue: Batemans Bay Soldiers Club

Commissioner: Joshua Carroll-Fajarda

Champion: David Canterbury

Season tweleve saw Wortzy leave, I assume because he couldn't keep up with the run club, and Bruce to focus on his Hockey career. This saw the first sibling inclusions with Mark and Aaron following in their older brothers footsteps.

The draft order selection process was a great success until everyone started cheating and Dave focused on screwing over Moon/protecting Rollsey.

Dave took out the Championship but no one was really impressed.

Season eleven saw the league embrace technology as Bruiser rolled out the PowerBI app impressing everyone, most of all Dave.

The season also saw in the inaugural season of the Run Club, although in no way affiliated with the league.

Carroll's car had some engine issues which wasn't helped by someone spilling milkshakes all through it or by someone giving incorrect directions in order to visit the brewery.

Carroll's competitive nature kicked in wanting to outdo both Nathan and Jean as two time champions, becoming the leagues first three time champion!

The milestone tenth season will go down in infamy as the "Maggot House" not to mention the sports club meeting room that could only be accessed via the Mens urinal.

The League continued on its expansion with the inclusion of Wortzy and return of Carroll as he got over the cold English winters. Everyone was kept well fed with Jono on the tongs putting on a feast for the team.

Jean took out the championship to secure his second* win.

Venue: Catalina Club

The ninth season saw the league return to full strength with Rollsey returning to full time and the prodigal son Rees returning to the fray.

Jean was very upset with the draft order selection process and a hand of exploding kittens was played with no exploding kittens in the deck.

Reece's return was timely as it saw him take home the win.

Location: North Wollongong

Venue: Novotel Northbeach

Commissioner: Nathan Fisher

Champion: Nathan Fisher

Season eight almost saw the collapse of the league with it falling to eight members with Damo pulling the pin due to family reasons and Rollsey sitting the season out, allowing Jon to compete from Canada.

Dave attempted to counter the loss in numbers with bulk whimsy, bringing in the Angel and Demon concept into the draft, was this a blessing or a curse?

The Covid season saw many interruptions. We saw the inclusion of the Covid Cup, although records of the winner have been lost.

Nathan took out the season as the leagues first back to back champion, although does it really count?

Season seven saw the reduction of the league to ten with Elle deciding to drop out even after a heart felt message from Moon and Carroll departed for merry old England.

The draft served up another controversy with Moon and Jono at it again, although this time during the draft order rules reading. This all calmed down as Bruce slept it off in the bathroom and Cliffy attempted to get us all into his pyramid scheme, which might of actually been a good idea.

Nate took home the honors in a tight fought victory.

Venue: Gerringong Bowlo

Season six began with Quince Paste gate that almost left Moon and Jonos' friendship in turmoil, they saw through it with some pool volleyball as Dave kept everyone up after eating some bad prawns.

This Draft saw the addition of the rookie draft concept which no one much cared for, it also saw the longest ever draft due to each team consisting of 25 players.

Carroll become the leagues first two time champion!

Venue: GIO Stadium

Champion: Damien McMillan

The fifth season saw another milestone with the league expanding to 12 with the inclusion of Blaster and Damo.

The draft occurred on a rainy Canberra day with Moon leaving his sun roof open, the night saw Jon making some late night phone calls that weren't returned until the next morning.

Rookie luck struck again with Damo taking out honours in his initial season.

Year: 2016

Location: Canberra

Venue: Mercure Canberra

Commissioner: David Canterbury

Champion: Joshua Lyons

Season four of the league saw team relocations with Reece and Redtruck both stepping down leaving room for Elle and Nate to step in.

This season saw the first in person draft occur with Cliffy and Jean putting on an absolute show at the Mercure. Moon took a little detour to Cooma and a great time was had by all. Especially Dave who was very sharply dressed for some reason.

Cliffy came in hot drafting some back page players that left him smiling at the end of the season with the Bowl!

III

Year: 2015

Venue: Online

Commissioner: David Canterbury

Champion: Joshua Carroll-Fajarda

The third addition of the league saw its first casualty with Shep stepping down to take up Japanese Rugby Fantasy, to fill the void Ducky, Cliffy and Carroll were brought in expanding the league to 10 members.

Ducky missed the online draft due to a power outage and did not understand the fantasy concept, dropping many great players into the pool, which Jon promptly picked up.

The second addition of the league sees the expansion of the league to eight members with Jean and Red Truck both joining.

Jon took out the championship although following a review the judiciary found collusion a foot and rightfully awarded the season to Jean, although with an ever-lasting asterisk.

Mr Moon took out the inaugural season (without a finals season) although Dave did his best colluding in an attempt to prevent his victory, putting their friendship on the line
