Josh Carroll‑Fajarda is a versatile, high‑IQ fantasy football competitor known for strategic drafting, disciplined weekly management (waiver wire slut, picking up other people’s sloppy seconds) and an ability to spot breakout players before the rest of the league catches on. His playstyle blends analytics with instinct, making him one of the most consistently competitive managers in the Bindibowl community. There’s just one problem - his players are always off the field. Whether it’s Adam Doeuhis knees or Latrell Mitchell’s 17th suspension, Carroll has a knack for picking high quality players only to see them sitting in the stands while their 4th string replacements rack up points against him.
Highlights:
1. Undoubtedly Carrolls Rookie season where he became Champion. A feet for the ages. The year was 2015 and across the world there were 2 things on everyone’s lips…. Should we legalise same sex marriage and can Carroll really do it in his rookie season. Both statement later became true.
2. 2018 saw history with the Royal Wedding of Harry and Meghan at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. Not invited but also setting history was Carroll as he racked up his 2nd victory in the prestigious Bindi Bowl becoming the first ever 2-time champion and just like the wedding….. it was nothing short of impressive.
3. There are some famous historical men of influence. Ghandi, Einstein, Obama, Hilter and of course Carroll. This man will stop at nothing to ensure his legacy forever reigns supreme. He proved this in 2023 by becoming the first ever 3 time champion of the Bindi Bowl. Will this ever be repeated. Only the records books will show but what we do know is that Carroll will stop up nothing to ensure his name is etched in history along with the previously mentioned men of historical significance. Hail Carroll.
Lowlights
1. Shaun Fensom. Enough said if you know you know and if you don’t. Please ask Carroll about it. He will be happy to share his pain.
2. The Milkshake Incident. Most people use Armor All - not Carroll he uses Chocolate Milk as his preferred brand of specialised interior car care products. As we found out during the 2023 draft weekend.
In summary:
It must be said, Carroll is decorated in Bindi Bowl silverware. Always striving to be at the top. A consistent threat each year, with tactical nuance and clever trade tactics. He would invade others to ensure his success.
Hail Carroll 🙋
Aaron burst onto the scene in 2024 when the league proudly expanded back to 12 members. His debut season at Surf Beach was memorable for all the wrong reasons — not because of his draft picks, but because the moment he peeled off his shirt at the beach, the rest of us collectively realised we were built more like George Rose while Aaron could have put some current NRL players to shame. Dave, in particular, has become a dominant member of the Woollamia gym, in an effort to put Aaron to shame, this has not yet occured.
From day one, Aaron showed he wasn’t just a pretty torso. He followed in his brother’s footsteps with a natural knack for drafting talent that actually performs — a rare skill in this league. Now he’s playing serious finals football, proving that good genes and good strategy can coexist.
The arrival of his daughter hasn’t slowed him down either. If anything, it’s added fuel to the fire — he’s now playing with the kind of focus only a sleep-deprived parent can muster. Which is even more depressing when you realised he has maintained his physique through the first year of fatherhood, really not leaving any excuses for any of us. He’s the kind of competitor who makes you rethink your life choices halfway through the season.
Aaron represents the Dolphins perfectly — a fresh addition to the league who’s gone from “new guy finding his feet” to “finals contender nobody wants to face.” He’s here to stay, and judging by that rig, probably here to make the rest of us feel bad about skipping leg day.

History
Nathan entered the Bindi Bowl NRL Fantasy Football League in Season IV (2016) at the Mercure Canberra draft. Known for combining a high-energy approach with sharp tactical strategy, he carved out an elite legacy as the league's very first back-to-back champion by securing consecutive titles in Season VII (2019) at Callala Beach and Season VIII (2020) at North Wollongong.
Beyond his success as an elite competitor, he stepped up to guide the league through turbulent times by serving as League Commissioner for both the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
League Controversies & History
Throughout his career, Nathan has been at the center of or witnessed several memorable league controversies and highly debated milestones. His first taste of league drama occurred during his debut in Season IV (2016), when he joined amidst a chaotic, rain-drenched Canberra draft that saw fellow manager Joshua Moon accidentally leave his car sunroof wide open. Later, during Season VIII (2020), his landmark achievement as the first back-to-back champion was instantly clouded by asterisk-worthy debate, as the heavily interrupted Covid-19 season dropped the league down to just eight members and resulted in the records of the accompanying Covid Cup winner being permanently lost. Nathan's subsequent tenure as League Commissioner was no stranger to friction either; during Season IX (2021) at Lilli Pilli, he had to navigate a toxic draft order selection process that left fellow manager Jean Seay profoundly upset, a high-tension atmosphere that culminated in a bizarre game of Exploding Kittens being played with absolutely no exploding kittens actually left in the deck. Its not clear if he was involved or responsible for this incidents as he is genuinely the nicest bloke in the league. Vote 1 Nathan Fisher.
As a founding Bindi Bowl Member and inaugural champion, Josh Moon has surprised many with his complete and utter failure to compete in all subsequent seasons. While adamant the blame for this lies firmly with his role as a husband and father, one can be forgiven for raising a quizzical eyebrow given his poor performance the decade prior to meeting his now wife. Furthermore, the perennial strength of renowned husbands and babymakers Nate and Cliffy proves that Josh’s claim is about as serious as a Mitchell Moses Captain’s Challenge.
In the area of drafting strategy, Josh leaves much to be desired. History will never forget the year he drafted both Shannon Boyd and Darius Boyd to avoid embarrassment and in the era of the powerhouse Number 9s, Josh would invariably draft Cameron Smith every year he was outscored by Robbie Farah and vice-versa. Even as recently as 2025, Josh opted to draft Lindsay Smith by confidently selecting Liam Henry for his squad.
When it comes to gameplay, Josh has also shown a genuine lack of talent. In 2021, despite his lack of aptitude for drafting, Josh somehow managed to pull off the tactical masterstroke of getting randomly assigned first draft pick and used that to pick the highest averaging player from the pervious year (pure genius!). Nathan Cleary put the Moon’s Units on his back with an unheard of 92.3 season average, yet somehow even with a genuine cheat code as his captain, Josh failed to take home the silverware.
All this being said, if the Bindi Bowl remained in its first season “NRL Dream Team” no finals format, he would likely have his name on that cherished chalice a few more times, however it has become painfully obvious for all to see that the bloke just can’t handle the pressure of finals football.
